Christopher Rose was born in Washington DC in 1979. He received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001, and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2003. His work has been exhibited in New York in exhibitions at PS 122 Gallery, Hudson Franklin, and 717 Gallery. He has exhibited abroad at Galeri Brissot & Linz in Paris and Schalter Project Room in Berlin. Rose has also exhibited his work across the United States, most recently in Portland, OR at Quality Pictures Contemporary Art, Buckham Gallery in Flint, MI, Penn State University in PA, and The Athens Institute of Contemporary Art in GA. He is a former Artist-in-Residence of the Chashama Studio Program. He was awarded an exhibition at PS 122 Gallery in 2008, and co-curated the exhibition "Future Yonder" at Hudson Franklin in 2007.
